This body of work divulges my own experience with my deafness, having grown up in a world constructed for the hearing. Since being diagnosed with auditory neuropathy at a young age, I have been exploring how I can visualise my deafness through photography. Looking through the lens, or placing myself in front of it, has enabled me to immerse myself in the tangible environment, and also find my self-confidence.

I wear bi-lateral hearing aids, which has allowed me to access the hearing world more easily. Through the conscious decision of my parents, I am able to communicate verbally, but I do not sign. I often find myself in a space of limbo, between the Deaf world and the Hearing world, because I do not fully belong in either. Maybe Tomorrow has revealed how I am continuously navigating the Hearing world, the sounds present, and my relationship with my family, including my identical twin sister, who is not deaf.
